If you’re wondering what my Instagram strategy is for 2025, this post is for you. Today, I am exposing my Instagram strategy for my account this year. I’ll walk you through how often I post, which videos to create, how my team helps me with all of this, and so on.

My Instagram Strategy for 2025
You should set your intentional end goal before you implement any new plan or strategy.
What do you hope to achieve or accomplish by starting this new strategy? In this case, we’re focusing specifically on Instagram. So, before making a plan, I asked myself: What is my goal for Instagram this year? How do I want to use Instagram within my business?
I have an ‘on and off again’ relationship with Instagram. Last year, I took a 7-month break from the app for my mental health – and it was one of the best things I ever did. If you want to know more about what that looked like, you can watch this video here.
But when I returned to Instagram, I knew that I didn’t want to put too much pressure on myself to post and show up there all the time.
So, as of right now, my two main goals with Instagram are:
My 2025 Instagram Goals
- Maintain my social media presence in a way that doesn’t burn me out
- Use Instagram in a way that leads to a steady stream of traffic to my website and products
Now that you know my goals… I’m curious what YOUR goals with Instagram are. It’s always exciting to see what you are currently working towards. And it helps me craft future content to help you reach those goals. Let me know in the comments what your goals are with Instagram this year!
You’ll probably notice how, with my goals, I didn’t say “grow on Instagram” or “hit 200k followers”.
Growing on Instagram isn’t a bad goal. However, I know what it takes to try to grow an account actively—it’s a lot of pumping out Reels. In this season of life, I don’t have the capacity to show up that way. So, my strategy is not a growth or “I want to go viral” strategy. (If yours is, make sure to read this post next.)
Breaking down your Instagram Goals
Let’s break down that first goal:

1. Maintain my social media presence in a way that doesn’t burn me out.
How does one accomplish this? First, I needed to balance how often I post and the type of content I post.
When it comes to frequency, when I initially came back from my Instagram break, I was posting five reels a week, Monday through Friday. But over these past few months, my team and I quickly found that frequency is too much for me.
My 2025 Instagram posting schedule
Here’s my current Instagram schedule, which has been working great!
I post on Instagram three times a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Two of those posts are Reels, and the other is a Carousel.
Occasionally, we’ll throw in a Reel that’s a trending meme. But we just started testing this strategy to see how it performs (here’s an example of what I mean).
We chose this schedule because it allows me to be the most “hands-off” with Instagram. That way, I can focus on YouTube videos, course videos, and working with my students.
Now, let me dive a bit deeper into what I’m posting. Each week, one of the Reels will likely be a talking head Reel. This is where I’m talking to the camera (example here), breaking down a concept, or teaching something new. The other Reel is a b-roll style Reel where I don’t have to talk (example here).
Then the carousel and meme Reel are created by my social media manager.
So, while we’re posting 3 to 4 times a week, I really only have to film one video (the talking video). I always try to make the educational ‘talking’ videos more evergreen. This way, I can batch them and not rely on trends. This schedule works well for me because I can also film 3 to 4 short-form videos for Instagram on a day when I’m already filming long-form content.
This works for me because I love long-form content. I love filming YouTube videos, but I have more resistance to short-form content. That’s why the fewer videos I have to film for Instagram, the better!

Never run out of Instagram content ideas again.
Batching content for Instagram is one of the best ways I’ve been able to avoid burnout while staying consistent and never running out of things to post. If you want to steal this strategy, then check out my four-month content strategy workshop.
In this free workshop, I’m going to help you plan four months of strategic, audience-growing content to get you out of the algorithm rut. This means knowing exactly what to post so that you can show up, stay consistent, and finally grow your Instagram account this year.
If you’re looking for a real, results-driven Instagram strategy for 2025 – this free workshop is for you.
The workshop comes with an interactive guide, so by the end, you’ll have four months of content ideas ready to film, schedule, and post.

How my team plays a role in my 2025 Instagram Strategy
This is where my Instagram strategy for 2025 might differ from yours; I have a team. I know this might not be a relatable strategy because most people don’t have a team to help them. And remember, this video is not me telling you what to do… no. This is my Instagram strategy for 2025 – and to fully share that, I need to be transparent.
My team and I currently do this based on my specific goals and capacity.
When I found out I was pregnant, I knew I was going to need to batch a lot of content to take my maternity leave. In the months leading up to my maternity leave, I had to film around five long-form videos each week, so I needed Instagram to be as hands-off as possible.
I also knew that my team needed to handle as much of my Instagram as possible because, during my maternity leave, they would be doing it all.
So, while I was filming my ‘talking heads’ videos and b-roll, my team was handling everything else: editing, scheduling, and posting. They are in my DMs for me, answering any questions and responding to comments. It is a team effort over there.

YOUR Instagram Strategy for 2025
Now, I know that might not be the most relatable strategy to follow. That’s why I’ve created another Instagram resource for you. In this video, I break down what I would do if I had to start from 0 on Instagram. That video will teach you current strategies to help you grow your account as quickly as possible.
If you’re reading this and thinking that your goal is growth, make sure to watch that video next.
Directing traffic from Instagram to digital products
My second goal for Instagram this year is to use it to drive a steady stream of traffic to my website and products.
So, while I don’t have any goals to grow on Instagram right now, I do want to do my best to keep a steady stream of traffic going to my website and products.
Being a content creator and educator is my full-time job, and I have a team behind me that I have to pay. So, with at least one post a week, I want to make sure my content has CTAs that lead viewers to my free resources, courses, or digital products.
For example, if a video talks about Hooks and grabs someone’s attention, I’ll say, “Comment ‘HOOKS100’ to get access to 100 Reels Hooks you can use to increase engagement.”
When someone comments on the videos, they’ll get an auto DM with a link to my $1 product, 100 Reels Prompts.
If a video talks about how much money I made on YouTube and encourages others to start a YouTube channel, I’ll direct them to my free 20-minute webinar, which teaches you what you need to start a YouTube Channel.
My team and I have this set up through DM automation.
I’m sure you’ve heard of DM automation—and you’ve probably even received automated DMs on Instagram before. When DM automation first came out, I was very hesitant to use it. I worried it was spammy or would hurt my Instagram engagement.
Back in 2022, I bit the bullet and started playing around with DM automation. Fast-forward to today: I love it and get amazing results.
We have a DM automation set up with every one of my popular offers. This has helped increase traffic, sales, and engagement.
I also have a pinned post (you can see that here) about my biggest offer, “The BSP Model.” We set up a DM automation with that post, which means every time someone new lands on my page, they can see that pinned post and have the opportunity to enter that DM automation.
We have to find the balance between strategically using DM automation and not making all my posts seem ‘salesy.’ Our goal on Instagram is to create one post per week that will lead my audience to something free or paid through DM automation.
If you’re planning on selling any digital product on Instagram, or if you have any freebies – DM automation is definitely an Instagram strategy you should learn more about this year. I have a YouTube video teaching you how to set up your own Instagram DM automation here.
Now, if you want to become a full-time content creator by the end of this year, make sure to read this post.
I’ll see you in the next one.
