January 26, 2026

This winter, lock in your strategy and kickstart your journey to becoming a successful content creator in 2026.

Last fall, the internet went wild for the ‘fall curriculum,’ a trend where people assigned themselves lessons and homework to bring more learning and structure into their lives. I love this idea, and I want to help you create the perfect winter curriculum for content creators, to kickstart your journey 2026.

I’m Millie! I’m your content creator coach and the founder of The BSP Model®, also known as the Ivy League for Content Creators. My mission is to help you build a successful, sustainable content creator business. Too many people focus on the ‘growth’ side of social media, but content creation is 50% creativity and 50% business.

Inside The BSP Model®, you’ll learn how to edit captivating content and how to set up your creator business so you always have money to pay your taxes. And since The BSP Model® is the Ivy League for content creators, it only makes sense that I’m here to guide you through a winter curriculum, so 2026 can be the year you finally become a full-time content creator.

Winter Curriculum For Content Creators: Launch Your Content Creator Journey in 2026

I designed this winter curriculum for content creators to walk you through your first three months as a creator, step by step, without overwhelm. You can start this curriculum at any point in the year. You don’t need to wait for January 1st. Whenever you find this post, it’s the right time to begin.

By the end of this curriculum, you’ll have built the foundation needed to grow consistently, confidently, and sustainably as a content creator.

Required Class: Mindset

Before you start building anything, whether it’s content, systems, or income streams, I want you to align your mindset with where you’re going. When negative thoughts take over, they often stop creators before they ever really begin. That’s why we’re starting this winter curriculum with mindset work.

Lesson 1: Overcoming the “Not Enough Time” Trap

If you’re building your creator journey alongside a full-time job, it can feel like there’s never enough time to do it all. The goal here isn’t to add pressure; it’s to simplify.

Instead of thinking about content creation as one big task, break it down into tiny, doable actions.

Each week, complete ONE creator action that takes under 10 minutes:

  • Brainstorm three content ideas.
  • Film a 5-second clip.
  • Draft one hook
  • Reply to 5 comments

Goal: Prove to yourself that progress doesn’t require free afternoons, it requires micro-habits.

Lesson 2: Confidence Rebuild & Self-Talk Upgrade

Pay attention to the stories you tell yourself.

Each time a negative thought comes up — “Nobody will care,” “I’m too inconsistent,” “My life isn’t aesthetic enough” — pause and rewrite it. Confidence isn’t something you’re born with; it’s something you practice through intentional self-talk.

Homework:

  • Write down the top three negative thoughts that come to mind when you think about becoming a content creator.
  • Rewrite those negative thoughts into positive affirmations.

For example: “My life isn’t aesthetic enough” becomes “I’m showing up and sharing what’s real, and that is important.”

Lesson 3: Creator Self-Trust Ritual

Building self-trust doesn’t require perfection. It requires repetition.

Choose one simple ritual to anchor your creative practice.

Pick ONE:

  • 2 minutes of breathing before filming
  • 5 minutes of intention setting
  • One unfiltered, low-pressure video each week
  • A short daily to-do list

These small rituals add up faster than you think.

Class Materials

Inside The BSP Model®, mindset is a core pillar of success. That’s why we host regular mindset calls with a dedicated coach to help creators work through mental blocks and step into the confidence required to grow long-term.

Required Class: Your Creator Identity

Now that you’ve started working through your mindset as a creator and you’re actively challenging imposter syndrome and negative self-talk, it’s time to think about your creator identity.

This class is designed to help you get clear on what you create, who you create for, and what your content stands for. You do not need to lock yourself into a niche or define your personal brand forever. But having clarity can help your initial growth online.

When you know who you’re creating for, posting becomes easier. Growth becomes more intentional. And instead of feeling like you’re shouting into the void, your content starts to feel like a conversation with someone who actually needs it.

Lesson 1: Content Pillars

Choose 3-5 content pillars. These are topics you can talk about consistently without burning out. They should feel natural, exciting, and aligned with the life you’re already living.

Choosing content pillars isn’t about picking a niche that boxes you in. It’s about identifying themes that make sense for you right now.

Examples:

  • Lifestyle creator + new mom: morning coffee routines, new-mom hacks, building rhythms with a baby
  • Fitness creator: home workouts, gym outfits, protein shake recipes that actually taste good
  • Bookstagrammer: cozy drinks, seasonal book recommendations, reading vlogs

Your content pillars should feel like an extension of your day-to-day life, not another thing you have to force yourself to do.

Lesson 2: Audience Clarity

Complete this sentence:

“I create content for ______ who want ______.”

This one exercise can completely change how you show up online.

When you know who you’re creating for, you:

  • Speak more confidently
  • Create content that feels relatable.
  • Build engagement and real community.

You know what they’re struggling with, what excites them, and what they actually find useful. That clarity allows you to connect and truly build a community online.

Lesson 3: Choose Your Primary Platform

For winter, choose one main platform to focus on.

A common piece of advice for new creators is to post everywhere at once. My advice is usually the opposite. Trying to grow on every platform simultaneously is one of the fastest ways to burn out.

Instead:

  • Pick one platform
  • Learn it
  • Stay consistent
  • Allow yourself to grow there

Once you feel confident and grounded, you can always expand. Sustainable growth beats scattered effort every time. And speaking from experience (including a personal burnout that landed me in the hospital), this is a step I genuinely want to protect you with.

Class Materials

Final Project: Your Creator Identity Sheet

Create a one-page document that includes:

  • What do you talk about
  • Who you serve
  • Your posting rhythm
  • One new signature series you can begin

This becomes your posting syllabus. A simple reference point you can come back to whenever you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure what to create next.

Required Class: Consistency Made Simple

This class is all about making content creation doable while you work full-time. I’m not here to tell you to post every day, or to overwhelm you with unrealistic expectations. Instead, we’re focusing on building consistency because consistent creators grow faster, stay motivated longer, and avoid burnout.

Lesson 1: Your Weekly Posting Habit

Choose a pace that feels realistic for your life right now:

  • 1x per week
  • 2x per week
  • 3x per week

One of the biggest things I teach my students is this: consistency over intensity. I live by this rule in my own business. I know I can’t sustainably show up multiple times a day, but I can consistently post 3–4 times a week, and that’s exactly what my team and I commit to.

Pick a posting rhythm you can maintain for the next 90 days. That’s how you’ll be able to build momentum.

Lesson 2: Batching Basics

Batching is one of the simplest ways to make content creation feel easier. Instead of scripting, filming, and editing one video at a time, you group similar tasks.

For example:

  • One day to write all your scripts for the week
  • One day to film everything
  • One day to edit and schedule

Batching can help you get into a flow state and remove the mental friction of constantly switching tasks.

A great way to practice batching is by creating a signature series. Write all the scripts in one sitting, film them together, then edit in batches. Suddenly, you have content ready to go and a reason for your audience to keep coming back for the next episode.

Lesson 3: Analytics Check-In

Analytics are one of the most powerful tools you have as a content creator. They tell you exactly what’s working, so you don’t have to guess.

Once a week, spend just 10 minutes:

  • Reviewing what performed best
  • Noting patterns (hooks, formats, topics)
  • Writing down what you’ll repeat next week

Growth becomes a lot easier when you let the data guide you.

Class Materials

FINAL PROJECT:

Film, edit, and publish the first episode in your signature series.

Electives (Optional, but Highly Recommended)

ELECTIVE A: Email List 101

Starting an email list is one of the first things I recommend to new content creators. An email list gives you an audience you actually own, and it plays a huge role in building a sustainable, scalable creator business.

In this elective, you’ll learn how to launch your first freebie and begin growing your email list at the same time you’re growing your social media presence. Your email list is one of those behind-the-scenes moves that may not feel flashy right away, but will pay off in the long term.

Class Goal:

Set up your email list and start collecting subscribers.

Assignments:

  • Choose an email marketing platform.
  • Create a simple freebie in Canva.
  • Connect your freebie to your email list.
  • Start promoting your freebie through your content.

Class Materials:

ELECTIVE B: Earning Your First Dollar

This elective is a beginner-friendly introduction to monetization for content creators. One of the most significant mindset shifts happens the moment you realize that your content can make money, even before you have a large audience.

The goal here isn’t to build a perfect system or replace your income overnight. It’s simply to prove to yourself that monetization is possible.

Class Goal:

Make your first $1 as a creator.

Assignments:

  • Sign up for one affiliate program.
  • Share 1 product recommendation using your link.
  • Track results in a simple Google Sheet.
