I know that AI can feel overwhelming; these tools are changing so fast. So like always, I want to break this down into simple, low-intimidation steps that you can take action on today.

7 Claude Hacks for Content Creators

First things first, you need to download the Claude desktop app. You can do that by going to Claude.com/download. Once you have it downloaded, you can either sign in or create an account.

That’s all the admin, let’s jump straight into the social media strategies.

Claude Hack 1: Setting Up Your Strategist

Instead of starting a ‘New Chat,’ you’re going to click on ‘Projects’ on the left. In Claude, your projects are essentially folders of organized chats. With each folder, you can set and write instructions, or upload logic for Claude to follow when it’s interacting with you.

Once you’ve done that, Claude will use your instructions for any chat you create within that project. This means you don’t have to re-prompt or retrain Claude on the same thing every time you start a new conversation.

Simply start a ‘Project.’ Name your project, your brand name, and the main platform that you’re going to be focusing on.

Brand Name + Project: IMM YouTube

And then for the description, copy and paste this prompt. It’s a simple prompt that covers who you are, what platform you’re trying to grow on, and the timeframe you’d like to grow in. The Claude prompt:

I’m a [niche] content creator trying to grow to X followers on [PLATFORM] in [TIMEFRAME] with [CONTENT TYPE]

For me, this would look like: I’m a content creator coach trying to grow to 1,000,000 followers on YouTube in 6 months with long-form YouTube videos.

After you’ve added that, click ‘Create,’ and then we’re going to add instructions to Claude. You can do this by opening the project and clicking on ‘Instructions’ in the top right corner. By the way, if you’d like to watch me walk through how to set up and use each of these Claude hacks for content creators, you can watch this post as a YouTube video here.

You want the instructions to tell Claude everything about your personal brand, content pillars, goals, brand voice, etc. This will lay the foundation for how you want Claude to help you generate content ideas, brainstorm viral hooks, script short-form content, create your content calendar, audit your account, and so much more.

And don’t worry, because I have a Claude prompt that you can copy and paste for this Claude hack.

My ‘Social Media Strategist’ Prompt:

You are my personal Social Media Strategist and Content Director for [PERSONAL BRAND NAME/HANDLE]. I am [NAME], an [NICHE] content creator who helps [AUDIENCE] with [RESULT]. Here is everything you need to know to help me dominate social media:

Who I am & What I do

  • My audience:
  • My platform:
  • My current follower count:
  • My goal:
  • My Content Pillars (Fill in your 3-5 core topics)”:
  • My Audience’s Biggest Pain Points:
  • My Brand Voice:

Remember, anytime you use a Claude prompt, you need to fill it out with your own information, and the more detailed and specific you are, the more Claude will be able to help you.

Anytime you’re working with these chatbots, you want to make sure to give yourself time to really dive into and fill in the blanks, because again, you’re going to get the best results that way.

This is just the beginning of this specific prompt; it is a LONG one. If you’d like to copy and paste the full prompt and grab over 20 other Claude prompts that I use throughout this post and others, you can download that here. It’s a completely free resource that I’ve created to help you make the most of these emerging technologies.

Download all my Claude prompts here.

You can use this project any time you need help with analytics, have questions about your account, or need more direction and strategy on what to post.

Plus, you can make different projects for different platforms. So in this example, I was setting up a project specifically for YouTube, but if I also wanted help growing on Instagram, I could create a second project for Instagram. Copy and paste the same prompt, just change out the information so it’s relevant to the platform you want to grow on.

Claude Hack 2: Receiving a Social Media Audit

In the next of my Claude hacks for content creators, I want to show you is setting up Claude to do social media audits of your account. There are actually two ways that you can do this. The first is the quickest way: use Claude’s Chrome Extension.

Using Claude’s Chrome Extensions for Social Media Audits

Make sure you have the Claude extension installed, then open the page you want Claude to analyze. Sticking with my theme of growing on YouTube, I would open my YouTube Studio and Analytics pages.

Once there, you can ask Claude to find your top-performing videos, look for outliers in your content, and help you brainstorm new video ideas that can help you go viral.

You can do the same thing on Instagram and TikTok. Now I do have a Claude prompt that you can use for this, which you can download for free here.

After you’ve added the Claude Prompt, you just need to give the software time to review your account.

Disclaimer: I would only use this Claude Prompt and Extension on trusted websites like Instagram or YouTube.

Requesting a Social Media Audit from Claude (Without the Chrome Extension)

The second way that you can request a social media audit from Claude is by using the projects that you set up in the Claude desktop app.

Choose the correct project for the account you want to audit, and add the same prompt we used in the Claude Extension Hack. However, this time you want to include attachments.

Add these screenshots to the prompt:

  • Your profile
  • Your analytics
  • Various pieces of your content

Upload as many screenshots as possible, so that you’re giving Claude all the information needed to properly audit your account.

Additional Claude Prompts from HubSpot

If you’re starting to see just how powerful these tools can be, not just for content creation, but also for understanding your audience and growing your business, then I have some exciting news. There’s an even bigger free resource with over 60 Claude Prompts that you can download today.

This resource, titled “Claude Hacks for Marketers,” was put together by the team at HubSpot. It walks you through using AI for campaign planning, content strategy, and audience insights. It’s the perfect addition to these Claude hacks for content creators.

And what I love about this resource is that it’s not just theory; it’s a practical guidebook designed to help marketers use the tools available to them. They’ve also made it so easy to use; you can just copy and paste the prompts directly into Claude.

They give you 60+ copy-and-paste prompts you can plug directly into Claude, for things like:

  • coming up with hooks,
  • planning your content
  • a competitive analysis accelerator

So if you want to keep leaning into AI more strategically, make sure to download this new resource from HubSpot, which is also the sponsor of this post. Huge shout-out to them for putting this together.

Claude Hack 3: Know Your Community

The comment section is one of the most valuable places on the internet for content creators. Not because it brings in good engagement, but because it’s where you can hear directly from your audience and know what they’re looking for.

Go back to the tab where you have the Claude extension open, then navigate to any post (a specific YouTube video, Short, Reel, or TikTok Video). Make sure to pick a post that has a lot of comments for you. Then you can use this Claude prompt to analyze your community:

“Read all the comments on this post and organize them into: questions my target audience is asking, content ideas they’re suggesting, and any patterns or sentiments I should know about.”

Claude will then give you a full breakdown of your comment section in seconds. But what if you don’t have an active comment section yet? You can also use this prompt to analyze someone else’s comment section.

Go to someone who already has the audience you want. I like to call these your ‘Niche Neighbors.’ Choose a couple of posts from them that have high comments, and ask Claude to analyze the comments section with the same prompt.

This will help you understand what the people in your audience are looking for.

Claude does the reading, the sorting, and the analysis, and hands you a clear picture of exactly what your community wants more of.

That’s your content strategy, straight from your audience.

Claude Hack 4: Build a 30-Day Content Calendar in One Sitting

Of all my Claude hacks for content creators, this one will blow your mind. We’re going to plan out 30 days of content in two minutes or less. Head back into your Claude desktop app and open your social media strategy project.

Start a new chat and insert this Claude prompt:

“Based on everything you know about my personal brand and goals, build me a 30-day content calendar with a mix of educational, entertaining, relatable, and inspirational content.

For each post suggestion, include: the content pillar/topic it focuses on, 2-3 suggested hooks that will capture my target audience’s attention, and the format you suggest delivering the content through (Reel, carousel, talking head, etc.).

Help me work smarter, and not harder, repurposing when possible.”

What comes back is a full month of content ideas. I love this because the options are structured, varied, and aligned with your brand. Claude even gives you a few hook ideas for each piece of content.

You’re not going to post every single idea word for word. But having that map means you are NEVER starting from zero again.

Coming up with hooks is one of the most important parts of short-form strategy. Another really cool, easy, and free way to get hook ideas is to download my free resource, 75+ hook ideas. You can find that resource here.

Claude Hack 5: Script Your Videos

In this next Claude hack for content creators, we’re going to take the content ideas from hack four and turn them into video scripts. There are always going to be ideas that don’t align or that you’re not interested in, so just go through what you’ve been given and see what you want to start with.

Then you’re going to stay in this chat and use another Claude prompt (remember you can download all of these prompts for free, here).

This prompt will take the video idea and hook and fully script the video for you. However, please do not read that script word for word. You want to use Claude for the strategy here, but everything you create should still be uniquely your own.

I recommend you then take this script and humanize it. Add information only you can provide, but let Claude create the video’s strategy for you.

Claude Hack 6: Turn 1 Video into 1 Week of Content

Now this Claude hack for content creators might be my favorite. I spend so much time and energy on one YouTube Video, but once it’s posted, I don’t feel like I’m getting the most out of it.

To work smarter, not harder, let’s add another project to Claude so it can take one video and create multiple posts for you.

Call this project: Brand Name YouTube → Everywhere (for example IMM YouTube → Everywhere). You already know by now that I have the prompts you can use for both the description and the instructions. If you haven’t already, make sure you download them here.

Now, within this project, keep the instructions so you don’t have to re-prompt Claude every time you want to do this. Once you’re ready, go and grab the transcription from your latest piece of long-form content and add it to Claude with this Claude prompt:

Here’s my YouTube transcript. Turn this into multi-content.

From there, Claude will give you a full week of content, from short-form videos to newsletters, so you can focus on one big piece of content, without running out of things to post everywhere.

This is specifically for my fellow YouTube creators or bloggers who frequently create long-form content.

Claude Hack 7: Email Triage

If your email inbox is chaotic, this one’s for you. I know I said I loved the last Claude hack, but I think this one might be my favorite because it already does all of the work for me.

This Claude hack for content creators is a paid feature, so I pay $20 a month for this. But honestly, it feels very affordable when you think about the money you’re saving by having Claude as your social media strategist and essentially as your executive assistant.

So, if you feel comfortable spending $20 a month with Claude, here’s how to set this up.

Start by going into Claude → ‘Settings’ → ‘Connectors’ and then make sure you’ve connected Claude to your Gmail account.

Once you’re connected, go to Claude Cowork → ‘Scheduled’. This is where we are going to schedule a new automation in which Claude will check your email for you every day.

‘Create a Scheduled Task’ and use this prompt:

“Triage and categorize every unread email into these buckets:

1) Urgent / Needs My Decision Today – anything time-sensitive or matters that will stall without my input.

2) Needs a Response Within 48 Hours — emails I should reply to but aren’t time-critical.

3) FYI / No Action Needed — receipts, confirmations, newsletters, threads I’m CC’d on but don’t need to act on.

4) Partnerships & Collabs — brand collaboration inquiries, partnership pitches, or anyone looking to work with me.

5) Suggested Archive — spam, irrelevant pitches, unsolicited offers, anything I’ll never need to act on.

For each email, include the sender, subject line, and one sentence on why it landed in that bucket.

Once you’ve added the Claude prompt, choose the frequency (I set mine to daily at 1:45pm) and click ‘Save.’ When you click save, you’ll have to approve allowing Claude to access your email and write drafts for you, but Claude will not send these emails on your behalf. The drafts are written within Gmail, in each individual email thread, which makes it so easy to review and send them off.

What comes back is a clean, organized breakdown of your entire inbox: every email sorted, summarized, and ready for you to take action without opening a single one.

Using Claude as a Content Creator

The thing that I always want you to walk away with is this: AI doesn’t replace your creativity. We’re setting these tools up to replace the blank page you feel when you sit down to work. So now, instead of thinking, “What do I even post?” you have Claude handling the admin and strategy that would otherwise eat into your creative time.

Anytime you use these tools, make sure you’re still bringing your unique perspective. Your voice, your story, and the things that make people want to follow you, not just any creator in your niche.

Claude can just help you get to the good stuff faster.

I’d love to know if you’ve found these Claude prompts for content creators helpful. Let me know in the comments which one you used first. And if you have a specific workflow you’re already using with AI as a creator, share that with me so I can learn from you.

And if you want me to make a video going deeper into Claude (like a full dedicated tutorial on how Creators can use every aspect of Claude), comment the CLAUDE FOR CREATORS, and maybe I’ll just do it.
